Col. Charles Young Memorial Highway Ceremony November 2019

The Board of directors of the Colonel Charles Young Foundation invited the Men of Omega to the California State Charles Young Memorial Highway Event on November 11, 2019, at the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park.

The California Legislature, joined by leadership from the National Parks Service, paid tribute on this day to the memory of Colonel Charles Young, a distinguished American who dedicated his life to the service of the State of California and the United States, by designating the portion of State Highway 198 from the postmile marker starting at Salt Creek Road on Highway 198 to the end at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks in the Tulare County as the Colonel Charles Young Memorial Highway. It was a moving and fitting tribute to a man who gave so much.

During this event the highway was renamed in honor of Col. Young and newly erected signs were unveiled.
